Alex Lozowski to join Saracens next season

11:35 AM GMT

Wasps fly-half Alex Lozowski has described the chance to join Aviva Premiership champions Saracens as an opportunity he “couldn’t turn down”.

Lozowski will leave Wasps at the end of the current campaign following two seasons with the club and has signed a “multi-year” deal at Allianz Park.

“I’m very excited to be joining up with Saracens and believe that my ambitions as a player match those of the club,” he said.

“Saracens already have an outstanding squad of players, which includes a core of exciting young English talent.

“The environment and coaching match the quality of the squad, so it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.”

Wasps, meanwhile, have announced new contracts for three members of their squad — England Saxons fullback Rob Miller, wing Josh Bassett and Irish centre Brendan Macken.

“I am really pleased that Rob, Josh and Brendan have all committed to Wasps,” the club’s rugby director Dai Young said.

“They are young, skilful players who have fantastic potential and I am sure they will continue to develop and prove themselves as top-class players.”
