Mike Ford is set to be confirmed as Toulon’s new first team coach and will arrive at his new club on Monday.
Ford, who has previously been part of the England and British & Irish Lions’ backroom staff, was sacked by Bath at the end of last season but is understood to have been drafted into Toulon by Mourad Boudjellal.
He will work under head coach Diego Dominguez at the three-times European champions and will be charged with helping turn around the club’s fortunes after a poor start to the campaign.
Ford’s role will see him preside over the team’s attack and defence while also concentrating on their gameplan.
